Sales and Marketing Assistant

Primary Purpose and Function:
1Staff Training and Consulting is looking for a dynamic, team-oriented sales and marketing assistant that can assist in the sales and marketing efforts of the company and help expand our customer database by updating our client list, creating leads, developing new business relationships, and attracting groups and special events to 1Staff Training and Consulting.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Create daily call goals
  • Maintain customer  database by inputting  customer profile and updates
  • Filter and create e-mail marketing lists based on database information
  • Obtain information from clients, customers, and individuals
  • Utilize database for sales and marketing efforts
  • Create marketing material for marketing campaigns
  • Initiate new sales leads through calls and referrals
  • Research effective marketing campaigns
  • Assist with government marketing programs
  • Prepare sales and instructor presentations, as necessary
  • Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related job duties as needed
  • Assist with seminars
  • Provide customer service
  • Support social media efforts

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Data entry skills

Requirements and Experience

Minimum age: 18
Minimum education level: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Sales Account Manager (Omaha)

1Staff Training, currently has an opportunity for a self-motivated individual to assume the role of Sales Account Manager in our Omaha, NE location. This job will consist of, prospecting, building relationships and increasing sales and profitability for all-size accounts that are regional or national in scope.  In addition, this person will drive sales by creating, executing and communicating business plans for 1Staff.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating new revenue by selling training and consulting solutions
  • Follow-up by phone, email and in-person on leads and opportunities, self-generated referrals, self-initiated opportunities, and web leads. 
  • Generates viable sales leads and prospects through market and account research, sales events, networking, vendor events and computer programs.  Contacts assigned and prospective accounts to secure new business.
  • Develops and executes profitable business plans for managing accounts. Teams with individuals within sales and key corporate personnel to communicate account plans, pricing, and offer assistance to drive sales.
  • Develops, executes and communicates business plans for profitably growing sales of assigned customers. Accountable for attaining assigned sales quota, with a focus on margins and expenses.
  • Interacts with customers, vendors, and associates to resolve customer and service related issues.
  • Maintains a current and competent base of product knowledge and applies that knowledge when advising customers.
  • Maintains and submits all required sales administration reports.  Regularly attends company meetings.

Government Contracts Specialist

Additional responsibilities may include:
  1. Reviews, evaluates and provides feedback to the appropriate internal contacts on all documents related to government business which have been received or may be executed by 1Staff Training. 
  2. Facilitates the internal review and evaluation of all government contracts, including counsulting projects.
  3. Arranges and initiates cost/benefit and/or risk analysis to determine the appropriate level of management and executive review and approval for government contracts. 
  4. Coordinates, as needed, with other functional areas/departments including ACE, Credit/Deductions, Customer Facing Services, Finance, Law, Pricing, Product Management, and Sales to resolve any legal concerns related to government business or contracts. 
  5. Serves as a negotiator and/or supports management in the negotiation of legal issues contained in contracts by preparing and providing background data on the relevant legal concerns. 
  6. Coordinates the communication and flow down of contract requirements to the responsible departments within the company.
  7. Advises functional areas and assists in monitoring the performance of the contract throughout its duration to ensure that all obligations are fulfilled. 
  8. Maintains custody of all contractual documents to protect the company’s interests. 
  9. Provides education and training on the government contracting process to all affected functional areas. 
  10. Establishes a 1Staff Training policy for the comprehensive review, approval and storage of all government contracts. 
  11. Maintains knowledge regarding development in and changes to existing government laws, rules and regulations that have an impact on the government contracting process. 
  12. Consults and coordinates with other Sectors or Partners of 1Staff Training to ensure a uniform response or approach to unique government contract requirements and/or policies. 
  13. Provides guidance, assistance and training to Customer Facing Services when responding to basic requests for information and annual certifications from the government or government subcontractors.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required. 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with commercial contracts required.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in working with government contract laws and regulations, including, but not limited to EAR, FAR, DFAR and ITAR. 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. 

Position Criteria:

  • Experience working with documents such as: RFQ's, purchase orders, quotations, solicitations, modifications, certifications and representations. 
  • Familiar with government and commercial contracting terms and conditions.
  • Ability to Negotiate Price, Terms and Conditions.
  • Customer-focused individual.
  • Ability to identify and solve complex, cross-functional problems.
  • Ability to drive results by coordinating activities multiple departments.
  • Proactive, Self-directed and action-oriented with strong decision making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong Team building skills.
  • Ability to interface at all levels is key. 
Preferred:
  • Prefer 1 year experience in working with various websites related to government contracting including, but not limited to CCR, EPLS, FedBizOpps and GSA. .
  • Prefer experience with developing and administrating training related to government contracts.
