Remote Learning (Virtual Training)

Remote Learning is delivered in the standard instructor-led training format, but leverages technology to provide the full classroom experience to students wherever they choose to learn. Students are able to hear and see everything as if they were sitting in the classroom, communicate with the instructor and perform labs by controlling the in-classroom computer. The instructor has the ability to take control of the student's in- classroom computer to assist with any lab work. Click here to view our complete list of courses or instructors.

Benefits

  • Eliminate travel expenses
  • Eliminate commuting challenges
  • Eliminate unwanted time away from home or other commitments
  • Allow for team training and team development
  • Topical, results-oriented course content
  • Real-Time interaction with instructors and classmates

Remote Learning System Configuration
There are several ways to remote learn: one computer and one monitor, single computer and dual monitors or two computers. We recommend using a single computer and dual monitors if available. The first screen will display the instructor’s screen (presentation system) and the second will display the program you are learning (lab system). One monitor will work, however the student will have to switch back and forth from presentation system to the lab system.

One Student Requirements:

  • High speed, wired, internet connection
  • Microphone and speakers/headset with microphone OR a telephone with speaker capability
  • Student will have to switch back and forth from presentation system to lab system often

Multiple Students, One Training Room Requirements

  • High speed internet connection.
  • Microphone and speakers/headset with microphone OR a telephone with speaker capability
  • Projector positioned so all students can see the presentation system

*NOTE*: Wireless internet connection is a poor student experience, wireless drops the connection often.
