Java Enterprise Edition (EE) 5:
This intense four-day course teaches Java programmers how to develop enterprise applications using the ease of development features introduced in Java EE 5. Students will learn how to create dynamic web applications with JavaServer Pages (JSP) , JSTL, Java Servlets, and JavaServer Faces (JSF). They will use JAX-WS to develop SOAP based web services. Students will learn about session and message-driven Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs), as well as the new Persistence API. They will also be introduced to JavaMail, Java Message Service (JMS) for asynchronous communications, Java Transaction API (JTA), and Java Management Extensions (JMX).

Java Fundamentals:
This five day hands-on course covers the Java language syntax and then moves into the object-oriented features of the language for the programmer new to the Java language. These fundamentals are then combined with several of Java's provided API packages, such as I/O streams, collections, Swing GUI programming, threads, and accessing a database with JDBC. The final sections of the course extend the student's knowledge on more complex topics such as performance tuning, best practices for writing efficient applications, network sockets, regular expressions and an brief overview of the J2EE platform.

Oracle JDeveloper 10g - Building J2EE Applications:
Over the span of 4 days you'll see how Oracle’s free JDeveloper 10g has become one of the premier Java Integrated Development Environment (IDE) toolsets are used to build enterprise business applications for the Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) platform. JDeveloper allows the user to interact with the rich technologies available in J2EE such as Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), Java Servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), JavaServer Faces (JSF), XML, Enterprise JavaBeans, Web Services, J2SE Swing and more. Oracle’s goal with JDeveloper is to enable greater developer productivity when using these complex technologies. The keys to this increased productivity are the Oracle Application Developer Framework (ADF), support for open standards, visual designers and declarative programming. The purpose of this course is to teach students to make the most of these features when building J2EE web-based applications. This will be achieved through a combination of lecture, interactive discussion and extensive, hands-on labs. The labs are targeted to learning both the underlying technologies as well as the JDeveloper tools and techniques that simplify implementing them.
